If you mention Costa Rica people will immediately think PARADISE. We are located in Central America, bordered by the Caribbean Sea on the East and on the West by Pacific Ocean with hundreds of beaches. Costa Rica is small country of 51 100 km ², with an approximately 4.5 million habitants. We have the great privilege of being a biological bridge between North and South America that allows diversity extravagant, which represent about 5% of global biodiversity. All this permitted us to be the greenest country, and now we are working hard to become the first carbon neutral by 2021.

Our official language is Spanish; nevertheless there are many people who speaks very well English among others languages.

Our currency is Colón, but there are many businesses that accept USD dollar and credit cards. Actually, some of businesses offer very good prices when you pay in colones or cash, so every moment you go out it will be a good idea to have some colones or cash with you, you never know!!

The weather could be divided into two seasons, dry and rainy season, usually from December to April are the summer months and from May to November are the rainy months. Costa Rica’s climate is tropical with an average temperature of 22 º C (72 º F), higher in coastal regions.  Guanacaste is the driest province of Costa Rica, there you can enjoy great climate and warm temperatures during the whole year.

Guanacaste is located to northwestern part of Costa Rica. Is the second largest province, but also the least populated. It name gives honor to the beautiful country’s national tree.

Thanks our excellent location the tourism has emerged as the growing activity in the local economy, offering Volcanoes, National Parks, some of the most beautiful beaches of Costa Rica and a lot of culture traditions, music, dances, and typical food.

After the construction of the International Airport Daniel Oduber in Liberia and with direct flights to Costa Rica from important cities, Guanacaste and its beauties are easily accesses from anywhere.

PLAYA AVELLANAS – OFF THE BEATEN PATH

Playa Avellanas is located on Santa Cruz canton of Guanacaste.  Is a clear sandy beach considered one of the most beautiful of Costa Rica; located at only 10 kilometers south of Tamarindo beach and in company with Negra beach and Junquillal beach offers to the visitors a great place to enjoy tranquil days surrounded of exuberant nature.
